Fun and Sun - San Antonio June 2006

In June, we took our first true family vacation. San Antonio was our main destination though we did swing into Dallas for one night to visit Melinda's friend Kenzi and family. The trip was a blast and the kids were excellent. The main attraction was two days of Sea World. We fed dolphins, watched sharks, enjoyed the Shamu show "Believe", rode rides and waves, saw a walrus do sit-ups, etc. The kids were a wonderful age for this trip except for our baby who hung in there pretty good. The big kids got to enjoy most of the rides though there were a few that one or both were two short for.

You can see from these pictures some of the fun things we got to do and see. The last picture is a San Antonio tradition. Melinda and I went there for our 2nd wedding anniversary and I took a kiss the Shamu picture on that trip also. Main difference is that I had a little more hair on my head seven years ago (and a lot less on my chest). In the second to last picture the kids show off their treasures that we bought on the last day. On the last evening we were there, we walked all over the park trying to find that big Shamu that our middle M is holding. On the way out of the park we passed not one but two places to buy them that we wish we knew about a few hours earlier. Oh well, we got to "enjoy" that much more of Sea World by tracking that toy down the hard way.
